Offering Superior Trucking and Transportation Services

Moss Trucking Inc. is located in Southeast Idaho in the community of Malad. We have been in business since 1982. We are a company who prides ourselves on the service we provide to our customers; as well as, our ability to get drivers home weekly.  We also take pride in the dedication and long term relationships we have with our customers and drivers. Moss Trucking's goal is to provide the kind of quality service that makes our customers want a long-term business relationship with us.

Ken and Jim Moss have been involved with over-the-road trucking for most of their lives. It runs in the family. Their Dad, Bill Moss, got involved with trucking when he bought his first truck to haul milk at the age of 17. He continued to be involved in trucking and transportation in the army, during World War II. Bill’s association with trucks continued after the war. In the 60’s, after trying his hand at farming, he got back into the trucking business. Over the years, he has owned many trucks and has also driven for other trucking companies, while raising his family. Jim and Ken grew up in and around trucks and the trucking business. Both Jim and Ken have each spent years as long-haul drivers working for other trucking companies, before they established Moss Trucking in June of 1982. Between them they have personally driven millions of miles and still enjoy taking a truck on the road when they can. These days, though, they spend most of their time managing the day-to-day operations of their growing company. With their experience, they understand drivers’ needs and customers’ needs.

Moss Trucking specializes in Reefers and Dry Vans. We service the Northwest, West Coast, Mid-West and Southeastern parts of the United States. If your load will fit into a trailer, we can haul it. Our loads range from groceries to frozen food, to plastics, packaging and containers. Chances are pretty good that we can handle your load; however WE DO NOT HAUL HAZMAT.

We are a solid small-sized business that takes particular pride in our care and handling of our customers and our drivers. We are not one of those companies that are focused on becoming bigger. We don’t particularly want to be a large company. We prefer to know our customers and to give them a personalized individual relationship and the best service possible.

In January of 2002, Ken Moss Jr., with his degree in diesel mechanics, joined our team to handle our equipment maintenance and service. Ken is also an experienced driver. We have our own custom built, shop to better maintain and service our equipment, thus helping us catch as many preventable breakdowns as possible. This helps keep our maintenance costs to a minimum expenditure with maximum effectiveness. This means our drivers and customer’s loads aren’t sitting on the side of the road waiting to be towed, or stuck waiting in a shop.

Everyone at Moss Trucking is dedicated to giving our customers the best value per dollar spent and our drivers the best opportunity to succeed.
